Ecommerce & Marketing Assistant

The Ecommerce & Marketing Assistant will report to the Ecommerce & Website Operations Manager. They will assist with maintaining the Boyds Philadelphia ecommerce program as well as assist in and other areas of marketing.

 

General Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the maintenance of the Boyds Philadelphia website
  • Assist with the production of marketing materials and collateral
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with existing and potential vendors
  • Support the marketing team with planning, implementing, and monitoring marketing campaigns
  • Provide administrative and project support for a variety of marketing programs
  • Prepare products to be activated on the website
    • Copy prep, image resizing
    • Daily inventory management
  • On-Site Search
    • Ensure relevant products are appearing when keywords are searched
    • Research seasonal trends and keywords
  • Cross-Sells
    • Manage Boyds Philadelphia cross-sells online to ensure relevant products are cross-merchandised
  • Aid in implementation of markdown & promotion pricing
  • Assist in merchandising collections
    • Daily and/or weekly updates to our collection pages
  • Contact vendors for seasonal marketing materials
    • Product copy, product images, editorial assets, etc.
  • Online order fulfillment
  • Assist in ecommerce photoshoots for men’s and women’s merchandise
  • Update events page to reflect upcoming trunk shows and offers
  • Assist in overall season changes of the website and make suggestions on how to improve the experience
  • Customer service inquiries
    • Respond to customer service inquiries that come through the website, social media platforms, etc.
  • Stay current with the online presence of other competitors
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; major in Marketing or related disciplines highly preferred
  • 1 year of related work experience is preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Suite or other similar design software, Google Suite
  • Shopify experience is preferred
  • Organized with attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently on an assignment
  • Ability to work collaboratively as a member of a team

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting, standing, and walking
  • Prolonged period of times looking at computer monitors/screens
  • Must be able to read, write & understand the English Language
