Sales Associate Job Description

Boyds Sales Professionals offer exceptional service to a discerning clientele. Candidates must be motivated by commission selling, strong product knowledge, achieving monthly goals and building strong relationships with clients.

Boyds Philadelphia is an iconic, luxury fashion destination. Family-owned for four generations, Boyds features Women’s and Men’s designer collections and accessories from the world’s finest brands.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure high levels of client satisfaction through excellent sales service
  • Assess client needs and provide assistance and information on products/brands
  • Welcome clients to the store and answer their queries
  • Follow and achieve department and personal sales goals on a monthly, quarterly and yearly basis
  • “Go the extra mile” to drive sales
  • Clientele to new and current clients (Reach out, follow ups, etc.)
  • Remain knowledgeable on products/brands offered and discuss available options
  • Build productive trust relationships with clients

Qualifications:

  • Previous selling in a luxury retail establishment
  • Having established client relationships is very much preferred.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Basic understanding of sales principles and customer service practices
  • Working knowledge of customer and market dynamics and requirements
  • Track record of meeting and exceeding sales quotas
  • Solid communication and interpersonal skills
  • A friendly and energetic personality with customer service focus
  • Ability to perform under pressure and address complaints in a timely manner
  • Ability to build rapport with customers
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • MUST be able to work Wednesday evenings (until 8:00 pm) and Saturdays. Boyds is closed on Sundays (except during holiday season) and MOST major holidays.
  • High school diploma; BS degree in Marketing or related field would be a plus
  • Bi-Lingual or Multi-Lingual a plus

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time
  • Ability to push, pull, and bend
  • Ability to read, write and understand the English Language
